Hi Moving on

And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. Jesus stood up and said to her, ?Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?? She said, ?No one, Lord.? And Jesus said, ?Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.?]]
John 8:8-‬11 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.8-11.ESV

So all those who had accused the woman left without casting a stone because they realised they were all sinners and if one broke one law you broke the whole law so they and the woman were equally guilty.
So only Jesus and the woman were left so our Lord casts the first stone which was himself the stone the builders rejected which would kill her as a sinner to be reborn into the body of Christ.

Which begs the question how should we view the law bearing in mind that our Lord has said.

And he said to him, ?You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.?
Matthew 22:37, ‬39-‬40 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/mat.22.37-40.ESV

So we must love our fellow man.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ?I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.?
John 8:12 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.12.ESV

What wonderful words which we need to take note of we are living in a dark and evil world but we need to follow the light of the world and listen to every word our Lord utters and they will lighten our path which leeds to eternal life.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

So the Pharisees said to him, ?You are bearing witness about yourself; your testimony is not true.? Jesus answered, ?Even if I do bear witness about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going.
John 8:13-‬14 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.13-14.ESV

The Pharisees were always trying to catch him out witch they never could he knew exactly where he came from he came from the Farther in heaven and would return to him after he had completed what he was sent into the world to accomplish.
Besides that he had all the witness he needed in the OT who through all the prophecies concerning him would fulfil every one and they also witness to us that Jesus Christ is the son of God who came down from heaven who died for the sins of the world and returned to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Farther.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me. In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true. I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.?
John 8:15-‬18 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.15-18.ESV

Our Lord judges no one yet the time for judgment is still to come when our Lord returns to judge the world so let us make sure we are part of th first resurrection  so we do not come into judgment.

Again our Lord emphasise the importance of two witnesses he is ont and the father is the other  the Father witnesses through the word of scripture every word comes down from the Father via the Holy Spirit which spoke through the prophets

27  And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself

So we can be absolutely certain that Jesus is  the son of God.

Love and peace

Hi
Moving on

They said to him therefore, ?Where is your Father?? Jesus answered, ?You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.? These words he spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
John 8:19-‬20 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.19-20.ESV

Strange that the Jews had all the words of God in the OT yet Jesus tells them the did not know the Father was this because of their idol worship and disobedience if they had known the Father they would have kept his commandments and they would have known who Jesus was the son of God.
Here was Jesus preaching openly in the temple but no one arrested him he would have to allow them to do that when the right time came he is always in complete control of everything that happens even today he is in control so do not worry everything will take place as prophesied so take heart our Lord is in control.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

So he said to them again, ?I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.? So the Jews said, ?Will he kill himself, since he says, ?Where I am going, you cannot come???
John 8:21-‬22 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.21-22.ESV

Again Jesus tells them he is going away what he meant by this is he would be returning to heaven from were he came but the Jews did not understand this they did not recognise their Messiah although they had all the scriptures of the OT they still did not believe Jesus was the son of God.

In a way Jesus did kill himself he went to the cross of his own freewill he gave no resistance no defence and he did this for our sakes he took on himself the sins of the world so that we might be saved

Hi
Moving on

He said to them, ?You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.?
John 8:23-‬24 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.23-24.ESV

Here our Lord makes it plain were he has come from he came down from heaven and took on the body of a man so that he could sacrifice himself for the sins of the world.
But to take advantage of this wonderful gift we must believe in him and everything he has taught us and have 100% faith in every promise he has made in the scriptures which are the word of God everything God has promised will come to pass.

Hi
Moving on

So they said to him, ?Who are you?? Jesus said to them, ?Just what I have been telling you from the beginning. I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.?
John 8:25-‬26 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.25-26.ESV

Still many of the Jews would not believe him they had seen and heard everything he had done but still they would not believe him they preferred to believe the word of men rather than the word of God.
All the words of our Lord Jesus came from the Father every one a word of truth the Jews had all the words of the OT which testify about the Messiah who was to come and still they did not believe.
Bit like today there are many that say they don't believe and they have never read the scriptures so they have absolutely no idea what they don't believe in I would advise them to read there bible before they make a decision.

Love and Peace
