Hi Eric1
Thank you for your post But I believe the water is the word of God
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
And I believe spirit is the Blood of the spiritual beings
Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The life is in the Blood
Love and Peace

So what do you drink when you are physically thirsty? The water here is phyiscal water, the women even asks where she can get some so she will not have to come back
"But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life. The woman said to Him, Sir, give me this water so that I will not get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water. "
John 4:15
Jesus speaks of physical thirst again here
"Jesus answered, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst."
John 6:35
Reading does not cure your thirst. If you read the word of god but do not drink and eat then you will die.
But if you drink the living water you will not need to drink water and will not be thirsty.
What cures thirst in the bible olive oil and wine.
"They crush olives among the terraces; they tread the winepresses, yet suffer thirst."
Job 24:11
Here these people have wine and oil yet suffer thirst. The fact is odd since they have oil and wine they should not go thirsty.
If you just read you will die of thirst. Sure there is a certain hunger for knowledge but this can only really be addressed AFTER you have eternal life of through the blood of Jesus.
Thats right physical drink supersedes knowledge as far as the fundamental needs go.
IF you still don't believe that you don't need living water to cure your thirst than you are in extreme denial.
My church brother talked about having the water and said that he was not thirsty even after going to the gym and he ONLY had 8oz.
