'The Seed of the Woman
« on: November 10, 2020, 07:11:52 AM »
'And the LORD God said unto the woman,
What is this that thou hast done?
And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
And the LORD God said unto the serpent,
Because thou hast done this,
thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field;
upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman,
and between thy seed and her seed;
it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.'

(Genesis 3:13-15)

Hello there,

What has to be remembered is that the promise of God, made to Satan, in Genesis 3 (above) had to be fulfilled.  The seed of the woman was secured from corruption, by the judgment of the flood; and brought through the flood by righteous Noah and his wife, who were saved from the waters of judgment which engulfed the earth, with their three sons and their wives. Through Noah the line of the seed passed to Shem, his son(Luke 3:36), and on down through Isaac (Genesis 21:12) to the birth of the Seed, which is Christ.

Satan has constantly sought to thwart God's purposes, and at one point there was only one child left to carry the seed on, and that was Joash (2 Kings 11). It was vital that the line that began with Adam (Luke 3:38), and passed through Seth (Luke 3:38) on to Noah (Luke 3:36), and onward through David (Luke 3:21) to Christ Himself be preserved.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris
