Hi

So Abraham rose early in the morning and took bread and a skin of water and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, along with the child, and sent her away. And she departed and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.
Genesis 21:14 ESV

It dose not look very good for Abraham dose it a bit of bread and some water or was it because of his great faith that God would keep his promise  to look after the boy and Hagar.
Faith has great power many things in scripture have come true and there are more to come so let us have the faith of Abraham knowing all Gods promises will come true.

Hi

When the water in the skin was gone, she put the child under one of the bushes. Then she went and sat down opposite him a good way off, about the distance of a bowshot, for she said, ?Let me not look on the death of the child.? And as she sat opposite him, she lifted up her voice and wept. And God heard the voice of the boy, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, ?What troubles you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is. Up! Lift up the boy, and hold him fast with your hand, for I will make him into a great nation.?
Genesis 21:15-‬18 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/gen.21.15-18.ESV

Here we see Hagar giving up and resigning herself and Esau to die but this was not to happen God had other plans for Esau he would become a great nation which he did he became Edom the lesson to be learned here is God always fulfills his promises and always will so we can be absolutely certain that he will fulfill all his end times promises.

Hi

Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink. And God was with the boy, and he grew up. He lived in the wilderness and became an expert with the bow. He lived in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.
Genesis 21:19-‬21 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/gen.21.19-21.ESV

Here we see God keeping his word its interesting to note that God dose not make him into a great nation at once but it would take time and we need to learn this lesson that God will take his time but we can be absolutely certain that he will fulfil all the promises he ever made so have faith it will happen.

Hi

At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham, ?God is with you in all that you do. Now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my descendants or with my posterity, but as I have dealt kindly with you, so you will deal with me and with the land where you have sojourned.? And Abraham said, ?I will swear.?
Genesis 21:22-‬24 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/gen.21.22-24.ESV

It seams that Abimelech was a son of Gideon which would explain how he knew about God so Abraham promised to deal fairly with him and his descendants because the land they were in would eventually become the land of the Israelites.
Its great that we can follow the history of the creation of Gods son Israel who is the foreshadowing of Jesus Christ.

Hi

When Abraham reproved Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech?s servants had seized, Abimelech said, ?I do not know who has done this thing; you did not tell me, and I have not heard of it until today.? So Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a covenant. Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock apart. And Abimelech said to Abraham, ?What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs that you have set apart?? He said, ?These seven ewe lambs you will take from my hand, that this may be a witness for me that I dug this well.?
Genesis 21:25-‬30 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/gen.21.25-30.ESV

Here we have a dispute over a well of water it seams Abraham dug the well so the two men made a covenant and Abraham sealed it with 7 lambs .
Reminds us of Gods covenant with mankind which he ratified his lamb Jesus Christ

Hi

Therefore that place was called Beersheba, because there both of them swore an oath. So they made a covenant at Beersheba. Then Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army rose up and returned to the land of the Philistines. Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and called there on the name of the Lord, the Everlasting God. And Abraham sojourned many days in the land of the Philistines.
Genesis 21:31-‬34 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/gen.21.31-34.ESV

So the two men come to a peaceful agreement and Abimelech returned to his home.
Abraham remaind in the land of the Philistines for some time and called on the name of God of course the land he remained in would become part of Israel.
Interesting to note that all of Gods promises and prophecies always work out to the letter that Israel would occupy this land is a fact not only in the past but today as well.

Hi
Next

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, ?Abraham!? And he said, ?Here I am.? He said, ?Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.?
Genesis 22:1-‬2 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/gen.22.1-2.ESV

Here God tests Abraham its a terrible thing he asks Abraham to do to sacrifice his only son it was a test of Abraham?s Love and obedience to God.
We can see this as a mirror image of something that would happen later on when God the Father would sacrifice his only begotten son for the sins of the world this would show Gods great Love for a world of sinners.

Hi

So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac. And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar. Then Abraham said to his young men, ?Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy will go over there and worship and come again to you.?
Genesis 22:3-‬5 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/gen.22.3-5.ESV

Here we see Abraham making preparations for the sacrifice of his son Isaac there seams to be no hesitation in his actions but obeyed the word of God a good lesson for us.
Is the third day looking forward in time to the sacrifice of Gods only begotten son what Abraham was about to do would prefigure  this.
