"  God will always make things right for his chosen  " quote post 310.

If you mean Romans 8:28 All things work together for the good of those who are called.  Then yes in heaven, but not neccessarily here in this life.

Hi John
Thank you for your reply but yes even here on earth God will do what is nessarsery to see that his will will be done here as it is in heaven.
The end of Gods creative process is mankind in his image which is Christ Jesus at his second coming and he will work all things together to achieve  this.

Love and Peace
Dave

Read again your post 310 Dave.
You say God will Always make things right for his people, which is not what you have said to reply to me in post 312.

Hi John
Thank you for your post but in post 310 I said

Quote
God will always make things right for his chosen  " quote post 310

As you can see I said chosen not people there is a difference all those who are chosen By God are chosen to do his will to further his plan of creation.
Then we have those who choose God through Christ and those he has chosen to preach the word.

Love and peace
Dave

Hi
Next

The Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did to Sarah as he had promised. And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the time of which God had spoken to him. Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore him, Isaac. And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him. Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. And Sarah said, ?God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh over me.? And she said, ?Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.?
Genesis 21:1-‬7 ESV

What we see from this section is that God always makes good on his promises we may have to wait a long time but we can be absolutely certain that God will make good every promise he ever made.
What we need is to have patience not everything God dose is instantly apparent but we can see the truth of this when we look at all the prophecies of the OT that have been fulfilled and this over thousands of years so lets have patience.
The birth of Isaac is in fulfillment of Gods promise it was a miracle Sarah was way past childbearing age so there can be no doubt that it was accordance with Gods promise.
Abraham circumcised Isaac on the eighth day this was the removal of the flesh we have something similar in baptism we go under the water we die to the flesh and are reborn in the spirit.

Quote 314 "I said chosen not people there is a difference all those who are chosen By God are chosen to do his will to further his plan of creation. "
Dave,
just who is God choosing, 'furniture! ' of course it means people and you still have not answered.or explained how God makes things right.
You have implied that if one is a Christian, chosen by God, then one will never have any problems because God will make it right.

Hi John
Thank you for your reply God has chosen the elect from Adam all the way through scripture to St Paul as far as I know he has not chosen anyone after St Paul.
All these the elect those who have been chosen are the bride of Christ and will reign with him for a 1000 years who will they reign over it will be all those who are of the first resurrection these are all those who have chosen God.
So you see John there are two groups those whom God has chosen and those who have chosen God.
Not all Christians have been chosen by God for the simple reason we must choose God of our own free will in love love must be a freewill gift from the heart God can not make us love him it would not be love.

Love and peace
Dave

Hi
Next

And the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned. But Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, laughing. So she said to Abraham, ?Cast out this slave woman with her son, for the son of this slave woman shall not be heir with my son Isaac.?
Genesis 21:8-‬10 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/gen.21.8-10.ESV

Here we see again the separating of two brothers as always it is the younger that is favoured over the older and it will be the older son who will be rejected so we see all through scripture it is Gods choice the younger son who inherits the climax of course is the second coming of Gods youngest son Jesus Christ in power and great glory to recieve his inheritance.

Hi
Next

And the thing was very displeasing to Abraham on account of his son. But God said to Abraham, ?Be not displeased because of the boy and because of your slave woman. Whatever Sarah says to you, do as she tells you, for through Isaac shall your offspring be named. And I will make a nation of the son of the slave woman also, because he is your offspring.?
Genesis 21:11-‬13 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/gen.21.11-13.ESV

Here we see Abraham not a happy man but God tells him to do as Sarah has told him because it is only Isaac who will inherit again we see the younger son being chosen and of course it is God who dose the choosing.
But the older son is not forgotten God will make a nation out of him.
Again we see this with Christ and Israel Israel being rejected in favour of Christ but Israel is not forgotten because all Israel will be saved.

So we can see that all these stories in th OT are played out on a grander scale later on reminds us of these words from St Paul

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
1 Corinthians 13:12 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/1co.13.12.ESV

So is the mirror we look into the OT

Love and Peace
