Hi
A bit more genealogy till we get to verse 28

And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:  And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.
Genesis 5:28-‬29 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.5.28-29.KJV

Here we have the birth of Noah through whom God would preserve mankind and animals with which he would begin a new creation after the flood.
The only thing God would need to create was man in his image everything else was on the ark.

Love and Peace
Dave

Hi
Next we have

And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Genesis 5:32 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.5.32.KJV

Here we have the birth of Noahs three sons through whom with Noah and their wives God would continue his creation of mankind in his image after the flood.
Isn't it wonderful that nothing can thwart Gods plan for mankind everything will be realised  in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Love and Peace

O, my grandson suddenly came out with this tonight [before bedtime] no I'm not worshipping my Grandson "before someone starts to get clever"

He said "s we would have been fine - apart from Adam and Eve?

They messed it up for us [he's eight years old]

I replied "well no - "they may have been saved as God gave them skins and blood was shed - Jesus was around before creation"

I said "if Adam and Eve were not saved - then we are all doomed now"

I told him that God knew about all things - and how He knew what his thoughts past - present - and future / that God was superman....

And what is the point of the gospel - we then went on to [God knowing what Adam and Eve would do and God's plan.

He said "O God's second plan "

That is what you are now describing Dave - bringing a family together under one roof ..

Not the way God intended / but a second plan/ an alternative...  even though Noah's children were anything but perfect.

Not based on what we do / not actually our heart intentions / as they can be violated.

Even our best works/ are like filthy rags.

But it gets far more complicated than that - using intellect/ knowledge.. alone.

Just take it from an eight year old / God gave a Jesus - to Adam and Eve [ though I would argue - that the blood was of animals  as the skin was of "and  animal sacrifice was never enough]

Just receive the belief of a child .

1 Peter 1:20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake

Revelation 13:8 "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book
of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

I told him that"God lives in the past - present and future"

He even knows what you are going to think before you do..

He has other influences - that differ  - anyway it's up to him what he beliefs and chooses.

Anyway - back to wrestling   :ninja:

Hi TJ
Thank you for an interesting post nice to see youngster's taking an interest in God word should always be in encouraged.
Of course God has a plan and he tells us what it is.

10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

The beginning is the creation account in Genesis here God tells us everything he will do to achieve his goal which is mankind in the image of God.
And this can only be achieved in Christ Jesus our Lord at his second coming.

Love and Peace

O yeah - it's so important to instill trust and "being to one who is always there"

I mean I have no idea really - I'm just using basic instinct..

Yeah - people will always let us down - I'm reading through a book ATM .. [quite out of my normal self-  as I never read books or had books] "in fact one of the things I did as a new Christian was to surround myself with books I would never read - not quite sure why I did that"

Anyway I.m going through this book ATM . renouncing things [not as language I am familiar with]

Yes in the image of [having Christ in us] being an aroma.

I'm not sure why God/Christ / chose Noah or his family -
Their is also a second difference - where people enter into the Kingdom "as the children of Noah"

God/Jesus  allowed them to enter ...
.

Of cause God wants the best for you - but you also know your earthly father..

Depnds on the heart from theirin - Noahs children knew their fathers heart

The underlying scripture of course is God saved Noah - as He saves you. or not ..

Christ was the Ark

Hi TJ
Thank you for your reply lots to take on board for my self I believe the story of Noah and his three sons after the flood is a prophecy of what was to happen to mankind.

Noah represents mankind who would produce three sons Israel Christ and Islam as the middle man Christ came and told the truth but the other two refused to believe him.
Then we have Canaan can be read as the son of the father became a curse as Christ became a curse for us.
Thats how I read the story of Noah and his three sons i have also read somewhere that 8 people are the minimum amount of people you can have for a diverse gene pool to produce the human race as we have it today.

Love and peace

The story of Noah reminds me of how we begun- with Adam and Eve and the population began with them.

Noah is the second repopulation..

Hi TJ
Thanks for your reply but not just a repopulation but a new start a new creation not of everything but a new creation of man in the image of God which will be Christ at his second coming when he is united with his bride the Church this is man in the image of God man and woman joined together as one.

It would take 6 days of 1000 years long and would be based on the creation account in Genesis as an example on the 4th day God created the sun moon and stars on the 4th day of this creation Chist came into the world the light of the world the moon is the church the reflected light of the sun the stars the children of God.

Love and Peace
Dave
