Bible Buddies

Hello there @Deborah or @davetaff,

What are the rules governing the use of this part of the forum?  Is it simply a place for placing individual Bible study, or is there room for the expression of disagreement with the points raised, or discussion regarding it's content?  For though I have taken part here in the past, under a different user name (Cariad), I have never been sure that I am abiding by the rules.

Thank you.

Chris

@Winnie

Hi Chris
good question not sure, I woke up one morning and was a moderator I assumed it was to moderate between Waring parties you can read " terms and policies  at the bottom of the page but they are rules in general for the whole site.
As for Bible buddies for myself I believe it is a place to study the scriptures not a place to fight and bicker or debate If I may give my thread on the words of Jesus I give the verses Jesus has said then I say what those words mean to me and how I interpret them anyone can come in and give  their interpretation what they believe our Lords words mean to them it can be the complete opposite of what I have said and that's fine but what I don't want is for  it to turn into a full scale war we should be able to give our opinion we all have different views and we should express them.
the most important thing of all is there are many seekers out there who never post if they see us fighting and arguing it could turn them of Christianity completely  so let us study Gods word in love and with love for our fellow Christians.
Hope this helps a little.

Love and Peace

I've always understood the debate board to be for the really controversial stuff (like evolution/creation, sovereignty/free will, eternal torment/annihilation) - where the threads are guaranteed to get heated.

Whereas this board is for learning and encouragement. Of course we can discuss things and express different points of view.
"Blessed is the one who always trembles before God,
but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble." (Proverbs 28:14)
