The opposite argument is "that we have authority over the enemy - but even Jesus came under attack and was brought to His knees..

Under Roman authority and the people of the time - that's the whole message of the gospel and the bible.... that we cannot save ourselves and that Jesus died for us/ took our seat / place..

He only won because He died / under the enemies onslaught...

Anyway I,ll leave that argument with you

Sorry, definitely not a close relative. Never heard that name before. Was he a poster on here?

Hello Stephen

Yes he died / he did not believe in medical intervention

You've not answered my main question though. If Satan was created perfect, how did he turn to sin and rebellion?
Also after everything is over, how can we be sure another angel won't turn to sin?
I've thought of another question. Did God know Satan was going to rebel before he did and if so why did He allow him to?

Great question @Winnie

The ongoing question @Winnie ....

Is how is the new heavens and earth [which will be created perfect - also]

Not faulter and go back to another creation - that requires -another Saviour[is it an eternal circle]

Hello I don't wish to participate in a debate on this topic. Lots of things have been thought of before and repeated.

We don't know the answers to many things "that have been thought of "but to seek God for answers and to  look in the bible.

I want to emphasis that I agreed with what @Winnie has said in presenting the scriptures but over many other things agree to disagree.

Hello @Tes Johnson,

This was not my question.  It may have been entered by @strobe.

Hello @Tes Johnson,

The Lord Jesus Christ must reign until all enemies are placed under His feet, the last enemy being death itself.  Some enemies will have been destroyed, and some subjugated.  There will, as you say, be a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.  The Devil and his angels will have been destroyed, and death and the grave also destroyed. Mankind and creation will no longer be subject to vanity.  So, I can see no possibility for further rebellion.

Also God who knows the end from the beginning has foretold this, so there will be no possibility of it not coming to pass.  God will then be 'all in all'.  How wonderful that will be.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

No problem with that - May I just add that Jesus rose victorious - over death and the enemy and there is power in Jesus name - however as Paul wrote after finding much conflict and attack against his ministry   ...

Ephesians 6:12 :  12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

I don't know maybe it was just people or maybe it was spiritual..

I know what the answer is - I have no problem with people disagreeing with me  .
