@Winnie

Just read this in Matthew 24:7
It appears to be referring to before the apocalypse.
I know it doesn't look good but it will be in the end.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Hello Christianna,

I have only just seen this post, after all this time!!! You must have wondered why I did not respond to it.  I'm sorry.   :D

Yes, we are to look for the signs of the times, even though the day and the hour is known only to God Himself.

There are indeed signs around us, of the coming of the end of this age I believe. The whole world appears to be in turmoil.  I can imagine that if someone came along with the answer to the world's ills, and brought peace to the nations, that they would accept him readily.  I think of course of the Antichrist.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

Hi @Cariad

I had a busy day yesterday and am most days and sorry I didn't reply earlier.

Yes, I was thinking about the whole world being in turmoil and politicians, authorities and leaders are looking for solutions.

Yet they look towards humankind and not God

We know that the church is not the building and we can worship anywhere  and anytime and pray anywhere and anytime.

It's just the principal of turning to God that is needed and the eternal perspective.

Not in all cases - but generally much more in  the past, the churches were kept open for prayers. I heard even after they were bombed.
They prayed nationally on d day.

Yet now even church leaders are conforming to the pattern of society and doing risk assessments, after the government said they can reopen.

Many say this is prudent but it's placing trust on man and not God, who can do so much more.

God promised:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.2 Chronicles 7:14

How I want to say "how foolish" when I see Christians say "let us pray for our leaders of our church in making their risk assessments."

Maybe yes I can see that, but the priority is praying with passion and fervour to God who can resolve all.

It is said that each generation has thought it was the very end time.

That the signs could fit many past and present events and observations.

Only I think that some of these events have occured before to a lesser extent, and it's God's way of calling them to repent and turn to Him.

Now it's like we have never seen before, and I'm not talking about the Corona virus.

The bible has the word "waxing". That shows the end time events will be waxing and becoming more pronounced.
There are somethings that are unbelievable that people are now accepting.

That's because they conform to the pattern of society and comply to the good citizenship, which is now opposed to the Word of God.

They reject the Spirit of God and reject "absoluteness" given for example in morality. That is contained in the Word of God. Conforming to ideals that are a persecution to God and anyone following Him

I know how satan works..

TBO - I have to say "yes"  it is evil.. and the source is from the evil one..

I've worked through bank holidays for over 36 years now [ no idea why they are called "bank holidays" probably because the banks can afford to do take time off... "I suppose"

I would work every day - because no matter how ill I am - I have too..

- Colds- flu - it never stopped me and of course I made sure others were not infected...

I had to do this - because - when you sign up to a contract "as a self employed person2 you have to fulfill that contract,  whether it is "weekly - every day or monthly]

I bind myself to that contract - I am bound to it [regardless of family or children]

The corona virus [I won't give it capital  letters] is someting quite different.

In that the one thing that satan  and his hordes want - is for people and families to be separated.

Even more of a conquest - is to stop people [His Kingdom - meeting  together [though does not stop Church - satan is trying to stop "fellowship". as he hates comunication and fellowship.

Flu  never stopped my business or ever had such an impact on my business...

but this is spmething quite different

I've continued to go into all kinds of other areas of business - even into purified water sells and spraying for corona virus and even "Algea and moss spraying"

One woman on the BBC spoke and said  " It's like some invisible enemy, that you cannot see"

And I tuned into her at that moment / how right she was
.

Flu never brought down governments or caused financial ruin.. to millions

I have 10 months, to pray and rely on God.- to do everything I have in my power..

the problem is that people only see out of their own goggles and life experience  and how "corona is affecting them" [in their bubble].. and past bubble

I love the latest "bubble".. o for goodness sake where did bubble come from and traffic lights ?   :)
