The Unforgivable Sin ?
« on: November 17, 2019, 08:02:37 PM »
googling the internet will produce many different but way out, weird and wacky interpretations and explanations but with a common desperate aim to exonerate Christians from involvement or blame, whereas this is rampant among Christians alas and sadly and unforgivable it seems - so what exactly is it and why unforgivable when all sins have been and are forgivable - more later - wincam

The unforgiveable sin is the one that cannot be forgiven (duh) that is not to believe in Jesus as Saviour and Lord, since only Jesus can forgive sins, not to believe means there is no way sins can be forgiven.

One that is merciful, loving just and reasonable.

How can anyone forgive if that forgiveness is not wanted?
So if one does not believe in Jesus, so one does not ask or want forgiveness, that forgiveness is not given.

just go back and have a look at what you said in your first post has nothing to do about sinning against the Holy Spirit but against Jesus which Jesus  said is forgivable etc - here we go, just another way out, weird and wacky interpretation and explanation with a refusal to accept involvement or hope of retracted and repenting thus unforgivable - wincam

All sin is an offence against a Holy God.
All sin whether it is a 'white lie', or a denial of Jesus, or a rejection of the Holy Spirit.
They all merit Gods wrath and condemnation unless covered by Jesus's sacrifice.

Sin is sin, there is no grading of it.

There isonly one way to deal with sin and that is through Jesus's sacrifice.

imho the unforgivable sin is attributing the words and/or works of the Holy Spirit to the devil or vice versa and is committed now as in the past by those claiming inspiration, guidance and indwelling by the Holy Spirit whilst producing rotten fruits of division, dispute. confusion and chaos attributed to the Holy Spirit - this is not going to be repented or retracted imho - wincam

Hi
st John says

.  1Jn 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. View more

1Jn 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death

We are not good what the sin into death is we are not good so should we speculate about it.

Love and Peace
Dave
