Genesis 1:26
« on: November 17, 2019, 03:37:27 PM »
this can only apply to Adam and not to us for God ceased from creating on the sixth day - everything now is self creating - we are created in the fallen image and likeness of Adam[Gen5:3] - wincam

Hi Wincam

Gen 1:26  Then God said, ?Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.?

This is certainly about Adam the Last Adam which is Jesus Christ this will be realised at his second coming lets hope it will be soon.

And which Adam was it who caused Eve to become pregnant.
The Adam mentioned in genesis or the Adam mentioned in Romans?

Hi John
Thank you for the question all depends on how one views Adam the man in Gods image at least from your question we can agree there are two Adams the last one of course is Christ Jesus our Lord and when he returns and is united with his bride the church ( his Eve ) we will have Mankind in the image of God.
So now we know what Man in Gods image looks like we see if we can find a corresponding Man for the first Adam My answer of Course is Israel are there any likenesses Between Christ and Israel I believe so.

The biggest likeness is of course is that Israel had 12 tribes one of which was rejected and the 2 sons of Joseph took his place.
Christ had 12 apostles one was rejected Judas 2 took his place one chosen by the 11 apostles the other St Paul chosen by Christ this can not be a coincidence.

Both went up into Egypt
Hos_11:1  When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.
Mat_2:15  and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet, ?Out of Egypt I called my son.?

Here we see both Christ and Israel are God's son when Israel came out of Egypt they went into the desert for forty years and was tempted Our lord also went into  the desert and was tempted for forty days.
Moses went up the mountain to receive the commandments of God Jesus went up a mountain and gave us the beatitudes his commandments.
Israel also went through a form of resurrection when they were sent into Babylon the nation of Israel died but the lord had mercy on them and brought them back to there own land and we know Our Lord was resurrected and returned to the father and will return to give life to all those who are his.

So To answer your question the woman ( Eve ) is not jest an ordinary woman In Israel she is the priesthood in Christ she is the Church both produce children to God.

Eph 2:15  by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,

So from the two men Israel and Christ God will make one man and all Israel will be saved don't forget we have been grafted into Israel's tree.

Love and Peace
Dave

Dave,
           Answer the question.
                                             Who got Eve pregnant?
That is the Adam genesis is talking about.

Hi John
I see you have not addressed any of the scripture I have quoted or the explanations I find nothing unusual there as for your question as I am concentrating on the new world as told to us by St Peter Israel being Adam consists of the Head in this case Moses and the woman Eve Moses impregnate the woman Eve the priesthood with all  the commandments of God so that they would go forth and produce children for God.
This is a mirror image of what will happen with Christ and his Church Christ impregnated his Eve the Church with the word of God and The Holy Spirit and sent them forth to give birth through baptism to children of God.

As for who got Eve Pregnant Adam of course I have give you who I believe the two Adams of this creation also we need to consider Eve gave birth to Cain and Able the older brother kills the younger in my interpretation The older brother Israel kills the younger brother Christ its the same story played out after the flood as before.

Dave,
re read genesis and see how many Adams were created by God.
re read genesis and see who made Eve pregnant?

There is no mention of Moses in these chapters of genesis.

It is a simple questiuon.
Who made Eve pregnant?    I'll help you and give you the answer. The man, made in the image of God called Adam, knew his wife and she concieved.
There is no mention of moses, no mention of Jesus.

Your ideas are completly unbiblical.

Hi John
Thank you for your reply the problem is you believe genesis is something that happens thousands of years ago and was finished then.
I believe that creation is still On going and will not be finished until we have man in God's Image which is Christ Jesus our Lord as stated in scripture which you refuse to believe.
You refuse to believe St Peter when he tells us there is another world after the flood which we are now living in you refuse to believe St Paul When he says that God will make one man out of the two I ask you who are the two men.
You refuse to believe St Peter when he says everything perished in the flood so what happens before th flood is of little interest it is the world after the flood that counts which began with Noah and is based on the creation account in Genesis it will take 6 days to complete 1000years long.

Love and Peace
Dave
