That is the forgiveness creed so prevalent in the modern church.

But more than that, Jesus needs us to stop sinning. It is better to cut off the hand that sins, (He said) rather than letting it lead you into the lake of fire.

So many people shy away from consequencies. We judge every waking second. Our judgement is another name for being conscious. People are fine with that in the present and think our future is secure if we love and forgive. But people suspend love and forgiveness every time they make a decision.

We are human. Thus we make judgements. And those judgements should be to avoid sin because that will have consequencies.

Jesus said, Love thy God with all thy heart and all thy mind. And love thy neighbour as thyself.

So, I tell myself not to lie, not to steal and not to think about doing that. Thus, in love, I will tell you too, knowing that I will thus be held in judgement.

Jesus and his disciples cast out demons. That was a dramatic judgement to dismiss a godless personality from someone.

Sometimes, loving someone means helping them to avoid the lake of fire.

Hi Cacadores
Thank you for your post it will be a blessing to those who read it.

Next section.

.  15  And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast

Of course Jesus is speaking about himself he is the bride groom  he will be taken away when he returns to sit at the right hand of God and to wait for his enemies to be made his footstool then he will return to claim his bribe the church and the will be joined together and become one.
Then the millennium will begin and Christ will reign as king of kings with his bride the church his helper.

Rev 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. View more

Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. View more

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God

Looks like it won't be a picnic.

Hi
Moving on

.     16  No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. note

17  Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved

Head our Lord is speaking of the gospel message he has come with it must be put into new clean wine skins which would be the new disciples who would follow him they would be cleansed through baptism when the were reborn as a new container for the water of God's word.
The new and old cloth is again a reference to the old system of the law and the new system of the gospel they can not be mixed the gospel gives us the only way we can comply with the law and that is by obeying the laws of love as given by our Lord.

30  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. (Compare)

31  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these

And the third is?

Hi Cacadores
Thank you for your reply

.   37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (Compare)

38  This is the first and great commandment.

39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

All the commandments given to Moses are incorporated in these two commandments if you break any of the commandments given to Moses you are not acting in love to God or your neighbour.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

.   22  But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour

Here we are reminded of the wonderful power of faith if we want God to answer our prayers we must believe that he is.
So let us build up our faith by reading God's word every day and pray for understanding.

Yes. And let the Word speak to us and try not to twist it.
