Hi
wonder where all the bible buddies went

Moving on

Mat 5:5  ?Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

yes it is the meek who will inherit the earth those who go about there daily business quietly living there lives according to the laws of Love being kind and loving to there neighbours obeying the governing bodies avoiding aggression.
to the meek this blessing is directed and we can be absolutely sure that they will receive it at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Love and Peace

'Meek' as in Christian living, merely being a quite, meek pagan gets nothing.

Hi John
Thank you for your reply what we have to remember is we have a righteous judge who will judge so let us leave it to him its not our place to judge others.

then we have.

Rom 2:13  For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.
Rom 2:14  For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law.
Rom 2:15  They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them

So it seams there is hope for those who do not have the law.

Love and Peace

Dave,
It is not being lovingf or caring to non christian to lie to them that 'so long as they are good' they will be alright.
Jesus is very clear. Only those who have accepted him will get heaven. He is the way to God the Father and there is No other way.

Think about it. If Jesus is the only way, then every hindu, budhist, muslim and animist who does not worship Jesus will not go to be with God the Father.

How cruel is it to let them beleive that it does not matter.

Hi John
Thank you for your reply Many of the ones you mention above have heard of the God of the bible and Jesus Christ and have chosen to reject them I am not talking about them and I don't think St Paul is either I believe he is speaking about those who have never heard of the God of the bible his law or of Jesus Christ and I think there must be millions of them through out the ages and even today there may be many that have not heard the good news.
So would the God Of Love condemn them to hell and damnation when they had never had the opportunity to know him.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on.

Mat 5:6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

those who seek righteousness those who strive to do the will of God to live after his commandments of love god and our fellow man this is to hunger and thirst after righteousness here Christ likens it to food the food of life from the tree of life let us eat of it every day.
we who are in the body of Christ are clothed with his righteousness and let us make sure we remain in his body for one day we will be before   the throne in heaven.

Rev 7:9  After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Let us strive after righteousness and be part of this great crowed clothed in White what a wonderful blessing.

Love and Peace

"So would the God Of Love condemn them to hell and damnation when they had never had the opportunity to know him."

A universal legal principal: ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

And pity is no replacement for the justice of God. It is cruel to teach that if one does not know about God one will be alright.
Paul wrote about those who don't know God being judged by the light they had and about how they failed even that standard.

The bible is clear. We are All Sinners, No One does what is right, not even by our standards let alone by Gods standards.

Last point Jesus made it clear that those who sought God would find him.

Problem is no one does, not even Christians.

Hi John
Thank you for your reply you said

Quote

St Paul said.

Rom 5:13  for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law.

It is cruel to teach that if one does not know about God one will be alright.

Now you are putting words in my mouth I was only saying what St Paul said which is

Rom 2:14  For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law.

what dose a law to themselves mean he is talking about those who do not have the law but fulfil the requirements of the law they are a law to themselves I take that to mean God would have mercy on them.
But then I have this silly idea that God actually Loves us saint and sinners alike and proved it by sending his son to die for us

Quote
The bible is clear. We are All Sinners, No One does what is right, not even by our standards let alone by Gods standards

If This is true what about this.

Luk_5:32  I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

So it seams there are righteous people so not everyone is classed as a sinner?

Love and Peace
Dave
