Hi
What wonderful words from our Lord up to now how wonderful it would be if the world could live by them here's few more.

Mat 7:12  ?So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

What do we wish others to do to us I believe the answer is to Love us and we in turn should love them from the heart and always be ready to offer our Love first and to show the unbeliever that we Love them and let them know why we Love them because our Lord Jesus Loved them first and Died for them and we are in him and should follow his example and show his love in us.
so Love the unbeliever first as our Lord Loved us and died for us.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on.

.  13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: note

14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it

What is the broad gate I believe it's the world and what it offers us  which many of us chase after and very few of us acquire it makes us self centred making us lovers of self and not lovers of our neighbours.
So let us enter into heaven through the narrow gate by following the laws of Love as given to us by our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ he is the narrow gate and through him we have access to our heavenly Father.
So let us do everything in our power to remain in him and reject the world and all it offers.

Love and Peace

Hi
Next section

.     15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them

Who are the false prophets is it all those who have helped to split the church into all the different denominations through all the different doctoring and theology which has come up after Revelation do we need to get back to the scriptures.
We see the fruit of all these doctoring divisions arguments very little love we have been grafted into Israel's olive tree let us produce good fruit let us make sure that our tree remains free from contamination.

Love and Peace

Hi
Next verse

Mat 7:21  ?Not everyone who says to me, ?Lord, Lord,? will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

This is a very frightening thought how many of us believe we have access to the kingdom and call on the Lord and pray but are we doing it right are we doing it according to the will of the Father.
What is the will of the Father Maybe these wise words from St Paul may help.

 1Th 4:3  For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;
1Th 4:4  that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,
1Th 4:5  not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;
1Th 4:6  that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.
Tit 2:11  For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,
Tit 2:12  training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

To Live our lives according to the laws of Love as given to us by the lord Jesus Christ.

More wise words from God via St Paul.

Rom 13:1  Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Rom 13:2  Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
Rom 13:3  For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,
Rom 13:4  for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.
Rom 13:5  Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.
Rom 13:6  For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing.
Rom 13:7  Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

So By Doing the above Lets show the world there is a better way.

Hi
More hard words to digest.

Mat 7:22  On that day many will say to me, ?Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name??
Mat 7:23  And then will I declare to them, ?I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.?

who are these who call on the name of the Lord is it all the heads of the different denominations and sects who say they are the ones who are right and we should listen to them I say we should only listen to what the bible teaches and not go beyond what it says we should check everything the priest says against scripture if it differs then we should reject it.

Hi
Here we come to the end of the beatitudes and our Lord gives us a little parable.

Mat 7:24  ?Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Mat 7:25  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
Mat 7:26  And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
Mat 7:27  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.?

So let us be wise and build our house on the Rock which is our Lord Jesus Christ let us follow everything he has said to us so that our house will stand firm from all that the world can throw at it rain " the water of the lies of the world " hail " the hard lies and untruths with which it tries to lead us astray "  wind " the winds that try to blow us of course which come and go "
Let us have confidence in the Rock on which we have Built our house the chief corner stone the stone the builders rejected he is our Rock and we shall not be moved.
If we build on any other foundation our house will tumble and fall so let us not be foolish and follow the world but hold fast to our Lord Jesus Christ he is our rock and cannot be moved.

Love and Peace

Hi
Next we have Jesus cleansing the man of leprosy.

3  And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4  And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them

Why did of Lord tell the man not to tell anyone seams a little strange but he did tell him to tell the priests would this have been the best way to spread the gospel put the priests right and they would put the people
After all reading through th OT we see the priests had not taught the people right so if he could convert the priesthood they could convert the people.
For we know our Lord came to Israel first of all but they rejected him the priesthood that is.
All this had been foretold in the prophecies of the OT about the suffering servant and we would do well to take note of these prophecies the can take us from the beginning through to the end times.

Hi
Next we come to the healing of the centurions servant our Lord says.

Mat 8:10  When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, ?Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such faith.
Mat 8:11  I tell you, many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,
Mat 8:12  while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.?
Mat 8:13  And to the centurion Jesus said, ?Go; let it be done for you as you have believed.? And the servant was healed at that very moment.

Here we have the importance of faith when we ask God in prayer we must believe, we must have faith there can be no doubts it was through the centurions faith that his servant was healed.
What dose our Lord mean by saying the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into outer darkness I think it is referring to Israel because he came first of all to save Israel and they rejected him 70 years later the Romans overthrew Israel and it ceased to be a nation Israel died they were in darkness.
those who came from the east and the west of course were the gentiles when the gospel was preached to the whole world.

Love and Peace
Dave
