Hi
Moving on

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:   Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.   Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?   When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?   Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?   And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:35-‬40 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.25.35-40.KJV

Here we see that the body of Christ the church is seen as what it really  is the body of Christ and should be treated as such.
What the above is saying is that the poor the hungry the thirsty anyone in need we should show them love and do what we can to help them this is the gospel message in practice.
So let us follow the commands of our Lord.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.   This is the first and great commandment.   And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.   On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:37-‬40 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.22.37-40.KJV

So let us show love to all

Love and Peace
Dave

Hi
Moving on

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:   For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:   I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.   Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?   Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.   And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Matthew 25:41-‬46 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.25.41-46.KJV

We need to take this warning very seriously not showing love to our neighbours is a serious offence with dire consequences we are speaking of how we will spend eternity with our Lord and Saviour  or in everlasting punishment let us choose  the first option and follow the teachings of our lord Jesus Christ.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
Matthew 26:2 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.26.2.KJV

We cannot  imagine what it must have been like for our Lord having this hanging over his head all his life knowing exactly  where he was heading and what was going to happen.
We could say he suffered all his life after all he was a man and would suffer like any other man but he endure it just shows how much he loved us.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.  When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.   For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.   For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.   Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
Matthew 26:9-‬13 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.26.9-13.KJV

Here we have the the story of the woman anointing our Lord ready for his burial the decipels thought it was a waste  of money which could have been used for the poor our Lord goes on to explain that the poor will always be with us how true those words are we only need to look at the world today the poor are everywhere we look.
The woman had done a beautiful thing for our Lord and it would not be forgotten she would become part of the gospel which would be preached to the ends of the earth.

Hi
Moving on

18And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
19And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
20Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
21And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

Here our Lord is making plans for the passover but this passover would not be like any other passover that had gone before at this passover it would be the lamb of God that would be sacrificed Jesu Christ our Lord is making plans for his own death all this had been planned in advance everything was in place our Lord knew everything that was about to happen even who would betray him to the authorities he would lay down his life for the sins of the world nobody would take  his life he would lay it down what wonderful Love he shows for a world of sinners.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.   The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
Matthew 26:23-‬24 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.26.23-24.KJV

Here our Lord tells us that he knew who would betray him but he chooses not to do anything about it Judas would  betray him and pay the price.
Our Lord also tells us that everything that was written about him must be fulfilled.
We have been told in the OT of all the things that was to happen to the lamb of God there is so much written I have chosen one of my favourites

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?  For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.  He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.  And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.  Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.  He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.  Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah 53:1-‬12 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.53.1-12.KJV

What a wonderful  description of what would happen to our Lord

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.  And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;   For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.   But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
Matthew 26:26-‬29 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.26.26-29.KJV

Here we have the last supper the bread here symbolises the body of Chist who is the bread that came down from heaven and would feed his body the church.
Next he takes the wine which symbolises his blood this would keep his body the church alive the life is in the blood.
I have wondered if the blood here could be the Holy Spirit which flows through the all the members of Christs body.

Love and Peace

Hi
Moving on

Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.   But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.
Matthew 26:31-‬32 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.26.31-32.KJV

Here again our Lord uses words from th OT to make the point that everything that was about to happen has been foretold before hand what wonderful proof for who he was and what he would do.
He also predicts his resurrection which was to happen a few days after his crucifixion this was to turn around the decipels after his resurrection nothing would shake their faith so let us think on what Jesus said to Thomas.

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
John 20:29 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.20.29.KJV

We are of those who have not seen our Lord in the flesh yet believe and let us continue  to believe with all our heart knowing that some day soon we will s? him when he returns to claim his bride.

Love and Peace
