Hi
More words from our Lord

Mat 11:12  From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.
Mat 11:13  For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John,
Mat 11:14  and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come.
Mat 11:15  He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

Verse 12 I think this is a reference to the priesthood and ruling authorities  Herod had John put to death and his message had been rejected by the priesthood but they had no excuse  they had all the words of the prophets and the OT so should have known what was going to Happen and the coming of Elijah had been fore told and they had no reason to reject John.
So our Lord tells them to open their ears and listen and hear what Gods word had to say.

Love and Peace

Hi
Next section.

Mat 11:16  ?But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their playmates,
Mat 11:17  ??We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.?
Mat 11:18  For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ?He has a demon.?
Mat 11:19  The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ?Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!? Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.?

I think Christ here is speaking to the priesthood and ruling classes they were so certain they were always right and the nation of  Israel followed the teachings of the priesthood but not necessarily the commands and laws of God and they were not prepared to accept anything new so they judged John and Christ to be blasphemers and sinners and turned a deaf ear to them.
they did not listen to  what what was said the did not believe the miracles that Jesus did came from God but they attributed them to the devil the miracles Christ did proves who he was the Son of God.

Hi
Next section.

.   21  ?How terrible it will be for you, Chorazin! How terrible it will be for you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles that happened in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

22  Indeed I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on Judgment Day than for you!

23  ?And you, Capernaum! You won?t be lifted up to heaven, will you? You?ll go down to Hell! Because if the miracles that happened in you had taken place in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.

24  Indeed I tell you, it will be more bearable for the land of Sodom on Judgment Day than for you

Here our Lord condemns all those places that had seen his miracles and had refused to believe who he is the Son of God he tells them it will be more tolerable for the cities God had destroyed in the OT on the day of judgement they will be raised up as we will be.
We will all face the judgement seat of Christ so let us believe the eye whiteness evidence we have in scripture of all Christ has done here on earth and continues to do in heaven.

Hi
Moving on

Mat 11:25  At that time Jesus declared, ?I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children;
Mat 11:26  yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.

Who are the wise and understanding I would say the high priest the priesthood the ruling classes they had completely closed their ears to his preaching what our lord was preaching was the opposite of what they were doing they were supposed to serve the ordinary people the poor and the sick instead the people were serving them.
So their minds were closed to the preaching of Christ they did not understand what he was saying I think the little children here are the poor and down trodden they could understand they knew what Christ was saying and what he was offering them the good news and entry into Gods Sabbath rest and eventually the new heaven and earth the entry to which can only be through Jesus Christ and it is the same for us today.

Hi
Moving on.

.   27  All things have been entrusted to me by my Father. No one fully knows the Son except the Father, and no one fully knows the Father except the Son and the person to whom the Son chooses to reveal him

All things have been created through Christ according to the instructions of the Father and it's only Christ who know the Father and only Father who fully knows Christ and it is only Christ who can reveal the Father to us and this he does through his apostles.
So let us pray more abundant need to what they have to say especially the words of our Lord Jesus Christ which gives us eternal life.

Hi
Next section

.     28  ?Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest.

29  Place my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls,

30  because my yoke is pleasant, and my burden is light

We are all loaded down in these times with all the burdens which weighs us down and with the cronavirus on top of everything else where shall we turn the only one who can help is Jesus Christ.
The future in Christ is eternal life in paradise so what ever this world throws at us we know we have a glorious future ahead of us.

What is Christ's yoke  is it love to Love our neighbour to follow our Lords example to Love as he loved us and died for us and was raised up and if we remain in him we will also be raised up so we need not fear for anything.

Love and Peace

Hi
Next

.     1  At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.

2  But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

 3  But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

4  How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

5  Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

6  But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

7  But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

8  For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day

So how should we view the Sabbath day in this day and age when everything is open should we join in with everyone else or should we follow the law of did our Lord make that law void when he gave permission to his disciples to pick and eat the corn.
What does Lord of the Sabbath mean the Sabbath is God's rest which I think is Christ's millennial reign.
He gives an example of David and the priests who broke the Sabbath law and were blameless so dose this apply to everyone or only to those on whom God shows mercy is this what Christ mean when asked the priests I will have mercy not sacrifice that the priests should have shown mercy on the hungry disciples and not condemned them.
Then our Lord tells them he is greater than the temple he is the new temple that is his body he is the temple and when we become part of his body we enter the temple.

Hi
Moving on

Mat 12:11  And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
Mat 12:12  How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
Mat 12:13  Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

Here our Lord continues to prove his point about doing good on the sabbath that doing good to our fellow man is a good thing even on the Sabbath day but this dose not give us permission to do sinful thing on the Sabbath or to treat the Sabbath as any other day of the week after all the seventh day is when God rested from all the work he did and it is given to us as a day of rest from our work of course there are those who must work on a Sunday if so they should take another day to rest where possible.
Then our Lord proceeds to heal the man with the withered hand to prove his point to do good on the sabbath is a good thing.

Love and Peace
Dave
