Hi
Do we need to worry about these I thought God was in charge and directs everything to complete his plan of creation.

Rom 13:1  Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

So sit back relax and let God do his work.
So what's the point of posting comments on this forum Dave when they don't alter anything.

You constantly try to make people adopt your brand of theology, but according to you, God's in charge and he will make us believe what he wants with no help from you.

Won't he?

So why don't just sit back and relax, and leave it all to us, the forum, the world etc.

There are some of us who believe their words and prayers might make a difference.
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

Absolutely not. Man constantly ordains his own plans and rebellions against God.
If God ordains all things, the following scripture makes no sense whatsoever does it.If God ordains everything, then we have no freewill about being subject to the higher powers, it automatically happens even when I want to rebel and kill all in authority because God ordains that I can't!!!!

Hi Frances
Thank you for your reply we exercised our freewill when we chose to be part of the body of Christ which means we follow the example set before us which Jesus.
This also means following the words of scripture in the above quote from St Paul it states quite clearly we should live quite and peaceful lives and the laws we live by are the laws of love.
If God has decided that we will leave the EU then that is what will happen if he has decided that we should stay in then that is what will happen.
We cannot change God's mind our players has no effect on what God has decided our prayer should be The kingdom come they will be done.

Love and Peace
Dave

Hi Frances
Thank you for your reply the point of posting on here is to spread God's word that's why I like to post scripture because as you know

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

So your theology or mine dose not count for much but it's God's word that counts for every thing.
The other thing to remember is the forum is not just about those who post on here its also about all those who come in and read the posts if we can help to stimulate there interest in God's word then we have done a good service to them.

I dont try to make anyone believe I only give my opinion as you do.
And I do not believe God makes us believe anything if he did it would negate our freewill and with out freewill we cannot truly love him love is a freewill offering from the heart.

I also believe this the only thing I would add is when we pray we pray according to his will the lords prayer is a good place to start.

Love and Peace
Dave
