You have to love God. More then anything. More then vast sums of money. Really Love God, more then wife daughters sons, brothers sisters. What better is a man if he has every thing, jet boats fast cars. Time is just spent and the thrill is soon gone. Not with God. Nothing in this world compares to feeling the Spirit of God move in you. There is nothing so great and joyful as that feeling and knowing he is right there. Heaven is not up in thr sky. its right there beside us and the gate is open to the ones who love God so much more then all the things in this world. The rich in material, his joy in toys and his joy can be compared to a average man bying a new  car or a poor man finding a good meal and a place to sleep. They all sleep and spend time. The joy of feeling the Lord in you and teaching you is so egzilarating, So great.

Ya love the Lord with all your heart soul and mind. Show him, ask for him and more of him, read and study wisdom and look for it and you  will find and see , he is right there.

It is not just love.
As James says 'show me your faith?' We show that we love Jesus by our obedience to him.
Love on its own is not enough.

Every adulter cries but I love him/her, as if that love excuses the adultery.
There has to be action that proves the love.

I don't agree with you John, When you say Jesus, your talking the flesh and if you can't give that up, you can't move up.Faith comes only by hearing and hearing will never come if you love and abay the flesh.

Just what do you mean by saying that obedience to Jess is loving the flesh?
How is an impractical, uncaring regard for others superior spiritual love.

Jesus said if you love me you will obey me. He also said love one another as I have loved you.

You can claim to love God, but if that love is not seen in how one lives, is that claim true?

Well I'm telling you right now. Its good to obtain all righteousness but Jesus said himself it is better that I depart from you and go to the father and the  Father can a send you the helper, even the Spirit if truth. Thats the Spirit Of Jesus who teaches but how can he come  to you if you don't gom to the v
cross and let the flesh die. Besides you can't buy you way to heaven by being even the most righteous cause that was John the baptise and he couldn't follow Jesus. Who's not  obaying Jesus when he said my words are Spirit,  So how can you obay without even hearing him,.

Colin,
I'm not talking about all rightousness, but about living for Jesus. We are still physical beings living among other physical beings with whom we have to interact.
I am not interested in spiritual gobbledygook, but in the reality of how we, sinfully, saved people, live for Jesus.

Do you have anything practical to say about this?

Hi John
So all things spiritual is gobbledygook and don't mean anything?

God is spirit Christ is spirit the holy spirit is spirit all this is gobbledygook at Pentecost the apostles received the holy spirit what they preached and wrote was directed by the holy spirit yet you say all this is gobbledygook.
we as Christians are living in a spiritual dispensation as members of Christs body we are in the spirit and the consequence of this is we Love God we love our fellow man and we love our enemies and the result of this love is to do the will of God in what ever way he wants to channel that love.
If it means helping the sick and the poor or preaching the word or giving to charity this we will do until he comes.

So please don't say the spiritual is only gobbledygook that gobbledygook may bring someone to Christ and that's the most important.

The scriptures tell us that Christ is the true vine and that Israel is an olive tree should we take these literally or spiritually.
Love and Peace
Dave
