we Know if we start walking in a strait line from east to west we will come back to where we started

The same is said "of the universe"! [if you begin in a certain place and go in a straight line - you will end up where you started.. something to do with gravity and space,  as gravilty can bend the fabric of space.. and so bend time..

topology...

typology.....

Lets call the whole thing offffff..

I find it fascinating that there were people who knew correct things about the earth, before it was proven.
How did Job know that the earth hung on nothing?

He knew because he was intelligent and could see that the eath is curved. i.e. As one walks across a plain, distant mountains will come into view that were below the horizon.
or if he climbed a hill/mountain he could see further round the curve of the earth up high a hillside then when low on a plain.

Just the same way intelligent people through out history have not believed in a flat earth, because they believed the evidence.

Surely more to do with seeing things accurately and knowing things through his union with God. He said the earth hungs on nothing before gravity was discovered. Didn't they think that people could drop from the earth if they went to the end of it. Only Job already knew the earth hung on nothing ( nothing visible). Discovered that before they said it later. Although it was called "gravity".

"Surely more to do with seeing things accurately "
That is what I said. Look at how many nations knew aboput the earths orbit around the sun and the orbits of planets.

Yes God may have revealed it to Job, equally he could have seen and made deductions.

The earliest reliably documented mention of the spherical Earth concept dates from around the 6th - 10th century BC when it appeared in ancient Greek philosophy, but remained a matter of speculation until the 3rd century BC, when Hellenistic astronomy established the spherical shape of the Earth as a physical given and calculated Earth's circumference.  So maybe not so surprising, that it appears in the Bible, at some point.  Job wasn?t actually a real person was he.  I?ve always believed he was fictional?

Job also mentioned the star  constellations .

Isaiah also mentioned a spherical shape of the world. Through God - Isaiah and many others predicted the coming of Christ and very accurately even to details. Long before the birth of Jesus.
Also there were predictions at the time of Jesus and soon afterwards foretelling the future. No one would have seen them being fulfilled until the 20th and 21st century.

Which ones have been fulfilled?
