Why couldn't Adam understand death? Is God incapable of explaining it to Adam.

Adam and Eve were commanded to be fruitful, as there was only them there was a need to populate the earth.

Make up your mind was the creation merely good or was it perfect.

Adam was told to care for, gone stewards, to subdue the earth. Plants would need to be tended, planted where they would be most fruitful etc.
Adam was to work not to be a layabout.

Hello john, found what you wrote interesting. What did you mean by ?there?s no room in the bible for millions of years?? I personally do not believe anybody knows how old the earth is. It?s all an educated guess. Nobody except the good lord and his son were there at the beginning I believe

Does man lie?
Does God lie?

Take your choice.

Try to fit the theory of evolution into the first chapter of Genesis without adding words or bending the meanings of the written Word of God. Can't do it? Then the logical conclusion is that either the Bible is true or evolution is true.
I have never been able to fit evolution into the Word of God without changing the meanings of the Word of God. Does it not say in Revelation not to add or take away from the Word of God? This is why evolution does not fit in with the Biblical account. I spent around ten years of my Christian walk trying to fit evolution into the Word of God. I failed!

Thanks for all your replies, much appreciated.

I have to say i?m totally shocked, the theory of evolution is so certain, and the evidence irrefutable and so overwhelming  , that many theologians don?t even debate it anymore.  As for providing evidence, really?  The evidence is there in black and white, tried , tested and reliable, i really shouldn?t have to, nor will i, copy and paste the vast amount of links to the mountains of evidence.

I obviously believe Evolution, but agree with @Deborah, I think God, kicked the whole thing off, God was the Big Bang.

Thanks again

Hi Mike,
"Hello john, found what you wrote interesting. What did you mean by ?there?s no room in the bible for millions of years?? I personally do not believe anybody knows how old the earth is. Genesis talks about a creation week of 6 days of action and one day of rest all of which from the context are periods of 24 hours. This is match by the 4th commandment talking about God worked at creation for 6 days and rested on the seventh, setting a patter for humanity.

If God inspired the varrious writers and editors to record the truth then there is no room in the creation account for millions of years.

There are two ways to seek to understan scripture.
To read what it says and to compare the passage with other parts of scripture that comment on it. In this way one can seek to understand what it says.
or
One can come with a previously formed idea and seek to read that idea into scripture.
Thet is what those who believe in evolution do with genesis.

Hello tara,I have never read the theory of evolution but always noted the word theory in there. I have avoided looking into it because I have always associated it with people gleefully using it to rubbish religious beliefs. Can creationism and evolution both apply? I think 🤔 so from what little I know about evolution. god being the Big Bang is a very fascinating thought. As a Christian do you believe reading the theory of evolution could be a faith tester for me?

Here's something which though may not be directly related to the subjects discussed, will show certain pointers to prove the validity of the Word of God being true and not a symbolic book.
