Hi @Tes Johnson ,

I read the link, it?s definitely not me. I learn, it?s what i do, it?s who i am, and i wouldn?t ever want to stop doing that.  Social psychology is fascinating, and so interesting a lot of looking at historical behaviour patterns etc.  I?m not a fan of the ?be a Christian and leave your brain behind? philosophy.  I?m not a Christian, i just think there is a god, despite having no physical evidence or proof of any kind.  I?m not in turmoil, nor particularly worried about my stance, happy in my own skin.

PS - Who created the creator - was a joke, it?s whats trotted out by atheists as a ?go to?, debate stopper lol,

Tara

Hi Tara,
(btw. I disagree with you on evolution, but don't want to argue about that here. I just have it on higher authority that you are wrong, hehe!)

However, you say you're not a Christian?...???.but believe in God...????...despite no physical evidence...????..
How unscientific LOL!

But I like that. Your position is the perfect starting point of all faith. God is, always was, and always will be.

The issue of Christianity is that of how we walk daily with God, and how God deals with his creation.
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

Hi @davetaff ,

As long as you disregard the process and timeline of evolution, we remain poles apart.  As for arguing with St. paul, i?m not, i?m disagreeing with your interpretation, as a whole.

Hi Tara
Thank you for your reply I am not questioning the time line or that life evolved over long periods of time what I am saying is that the God of the bible is the prime cause of that process.

May be you can help me out about something I read a few years ago concerning the big bang.
Go's something like this when the big bang exploded two forces were brought into being explosion pushing everything out and implosion or gravity pulling everything back.
The difference between these two forces had to be pretty precise because it the force of the explosion was any greater no solid objects could form and if implosion was any greater everything would be sucked back into one solid lump.
The point being that it would be impossible for these two forces to be so precise in a random explosion and would be a miracle so it would have to be a controlled explosion.
God being the cause is there any truth in this.

Re: Creation or Evolution -Paradise Park - confusion.

Ironically - I went to paradise park today - with/for/  our Grandson  [we are still on holiday]  - - which includes a strange mixture of indoor gardens, a train journey, indoor remote control cars/trains/boats/bla bla bla..

The theme tries to stay with evolution and you go through a tunnel of evidence giving evidence of fossils and age, skeletons and fibreglass prehistoric dinosaurs and all sorts of aids to explain our family tree - from the earliest  man to the cave man and on to us today..

It is a place meant for children to explore and have fun..  [it seems to me the person who put this place together is a bit confused and has has mixed  a whole load of stuff which does not give any definate overall message  - it all seems a bit confused [why would you include an indoor garden which obviously has  plants from now/today/ and indoor play areas and tokens for cars and trains and boats and ships ?

In a way it seems to me that this is a reflection of many hearts and lives ...

Anyway this place was not very busy and seemed to lack people

I sometimes wonder how children make descisions..

I remember in my infancy - reading all this stuff about evolving from apes and thinking "this is  nonsense.."

Anyway we had a great time and ended our day playing with trains and train  tracks  at home...

Multiple trans and mutliple track  gauges....

Much more interesting for our Grandson and me..

ps ... don't tell him this - but I never had any interest in trains - I am suddenly now emerged in this new life of trains  :police:

Hi
The following is God's intention for mankind

. Genesis 1:26 [Full Chapter]
Then God said, ?Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.

The following is the realisation of that intent.

.
9 And they sang a new song, saying:

?You are worthy to take the scroll
    and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God,
and they will reign[a] on the earth

As we see what God intended in Genesis will be realized in Christ so Christ is the end of creation.

Love and Peace

Hi Deborah
Thank you for the link very interesting I also have a link

https://biologos.org/blogs/archive/adam-is-israel

The same site but different subject it seams I am not on my own there are scholars that agree with me I found the last line interesting it reads.

Quote
if the Adam story is not about absolute human origins, then the conflict between the Bible and evolution cannot be found there.
