Wisdom / understanding / insight

How do we unite the church in order for us to be more effective to reach those who need God's love - we know how precious His love is and want to love others so we could cleverly think how we can reach people and easily:

Proverbs 3:17 "Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace". A wise Christian is a strong Christian and can lift heavy spiritual weight.

For example:
  • Faith - Worship is the highest form of faith and wisdom gets us research and organisation skills to find the right hymns and get church organised properly for worship.
  • Hope - understanding says that the helmet of salvation in Ephesians 6 is hope but we also understand that exercise and 8 cups of water a day can get oxygen to our brain in order to have clear hopes for the future e.g. imagine our holiday coming up.
  • Love - give a homeless person money and they spend it on drink. Give them coffee and they cannot sleep when they need to. Seems like no problem usually (without wisdom). Give them hot food and a decaf coffee or hot chocolate instead.

I just wish that churches could pray for a spirit of wisdom and really get into wisdom literature i.e. the book of Proverbs.

I could do with a hot chocolate actually lol - only messing.

What do you think peoples?
Bless ya!

Welcome  Sharkey,
It depends on what is meant by the church. Is it the unseen body of every Christian or is it an organisation?

The later one will never unit, but the former is united in Jesus.

Hi John  :D,

good point - both (all Christendom).

Jesus said "When two or three are gathered in my name, there I am with them" - I believe that even if we are not under the ceiling of a church building, we can still call it a church and that our differences can be settled there also, and under a roof so that we can share more of God's love as a whole.

I want to say both, and I believe that it can be both as it is the understanding that separates us.

I can see why you would say that though.

"being under a roof" - a cathedral.

There is hope.

The solution may be to take the roof off the building and go alfresco thus getting the best of both worlds - only messing (chilly)!
