Hi everybody,
I just thought I would post this to see what you think regarding society today. I live in the UK so am therefore governed by UK law. I am a law abiding citizen but feel that I am having to tolerate more and more decisions made by our government and thereby introduced into our schools (particularly primary 7-11 schools).
My own children, thankfully, have left mainstream education now but my grandchildren are being subjected to ever changing government policies which fly in the face of my Christian beliefs.
For example, the LGBT and transgender movements are forcing equality with Christian principles and our government is saying that our children must be taught this (even as young as four) and allowed to make their own decisions based on choice. (How can any child make a decision such as this, especially so young and innocent?)
I know the Bible prophesies about the way Society will go, but I find if I voice my beliefs in any way, I am called a bigot, homophobic and out of touch with reality. God's Word never changes, people do and it seems that as long as nobody is hurt, anything goes! In other words, people can do what they like (it's their human right!) As a Christian I find this very hard to deal with!
I hate the world my grandchildren are growing up in and I fear for them at times. Nobody has any respect for anybody else these days (or so it would seem!)

Welcome Nightfire,
There are things that can be done. Being ready and willing to explain what and why you believe and why this is important to society is one thing.
Are there Christians working in your grandchildrens schools? If theree are do they have prayer letters?

You don't mention whether your children and in-laws are Christian, depending on how old they are visits to grandparents could be known for the exciting debates about Christianity, 'gay right/transgender', uthanasia, drugs, living together etc etc etc.

Most people don't realise but evey right they believe in is based on Christianity, so challenge your children and grandchildren as to why they believe what they do.

Point out that atheism believes there is no morality, no right or wrong, no reason for living or hope in life so why do they believe it?
