I have no interest in reading books about the queen of heaven when scripture calls her an abomination.

scriptures do no such thing ,- stop abusing scriptures and the queen of heaven - it seems you really do need to read Scott Hahn imho - wincam

Instead or reading books by wolves in sheep's clothing, try reading scripture wincam.
We don't need to abuse scripture to reveal God's condemnation of those who pray to the Queen of Heaven.

Jeremiah7v16Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
God refuses to listen to Jeremiah's intercession for Judah. Why? -Because they make sacrifices and offerings to the pagan goddess called the "Queen of Heaven".

17Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 18The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
That could not be clearer. Judah stands utterly condemned because their worship of the "Queen of Heaven" provokes God to anger, just as it does today.-
19Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces? 20Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

How can you defend your idolatry of the pagan goddess Queen of Heaven? Read the following where Jeremiah pronounces God's death sentence on those who worship the Queen of Heaven.

Jeremiah44v25thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, as follows: ?As for you and your wives, you have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled it with your hands, saying, ?We will certainly perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her.?
Despite everything God had said, they proudly rejected God and declared they would always serve their idols of the Queen of Heaven. Because of that, their idolatry of the Queen of heaven, God was going to utterly destroy them.
Do you imagine that God has somehow changed his mind over Roman Catholic church's paganism today?

Go ahead and confirm your vows, and certainly perform your vows!? 26?Nevertheless hear the word of the LORD, all Judah who are living in the land of Egypt, ?Behold, I have sworn by My great name,? says the LORD, ?never shall My name be invoked again by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, ?As the Lord GOD lives.? 27?Behold, I am watching over them for harm and not for good, and all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt will meet their end by the sword and by famine until they are completely gone. 28?Those who escape the sword will return out of the land of Egypt to the land of Judah few in number. Then all the remnant of Judah who have gone to the land of Egypt to reside there will know whose word will stand, Mine or theirs. 29?This will be the sign to you,? declares the LORD, ?that I am going to punish you in this place, so that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for harm.?

So yes, the "Queen of Heaven" is still the same abomination today as she was thousands of years ago, and God's condemnation of those who worship her remains the same.
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

It is interesting seeing KJesus's responce to those who praised his mother.
"Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you" (Luke 11:27), replying to her, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."

What evidence do you have twinc, that Mary is regarded as a Queen by God?

when God sends not just an angel but His very special archangel out to visit you and this archangel salutes and bows down to you and utters 'Hail full of grace or highy favoured', know for sure you are' - it seems you are implying and would have us accept that Mary did not hear the word of God and obey it - twinc

Twinc,
All the angel said is you are highly favoured. No indication of a title or rank.

As Jesus said those who hear his words and obey are more highly blessed than Mary .

highly favoured by God is greater than any title or rank imho - so would you settle for 'the mother of my God' by Elizabeth - wincam

Yes there was resitence to believing in Jesus then just as there is resistence to believing in Jesus today.

It is Only faith/believe/trust in Jesus that saves, nothing, literally nothing else matters compared to having faith in Jesus.
