Being a Christian is having faith in Jesus Christ. We all come from different backgrounds and all backgrounds in any form which do not follow Jesus have beliefs which are contrary to Gods laws, soGod starts a work in us from where we begin with our simple faith in Jesus Christ.
So the question to be asked is not can a psychic become a Christian, but can a Christian remain a psychic? The long term answer is no, as either the person will follow Christ, or the person will decide to reject Christ. It is much of a similar situation regarding any other background.

If a persons heart has truely responded to God, then anyone can become a true christian.

That is why Jesus is the mediator. He is the way to   reconcile sinners to God.

In 1 Corinthians 6:11
First of all there is justification and as a result there is sanctification.

1 Corinthians 6:9 gives a list of sinners who became changed in Christ.

Considering too that the magi from the east came to visit Jesus. They were full of joy when they met Him and worshipped Him. Matthew 2:9-11

That can symbolise how a psychic can become a christian.Yet this does not mean that they can remain being a psychic.

A Christian is someone in whom the Spirit of god lives. There is no room for God's Spirit and the evil spirits that enable a person to pretend to speak with the dead.

So a psychic can become a Christian, but they cannot remain a psychic.

Actually John, if you had been involved in the deliverance ministry, you would realise that this oft repeated statement is just not true biblically or experientially. Demons can and do coexist where the Spirit of God also dwells.

As Jesus commanded the disciples, I have been casting demons out for 40 years, and all of them christians!
Why on earth would a non christian want demons removing?

Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

I have to ages here. It is sometimes taught in churches that once a person is saved they need no deliverence but this usually reflects a church which does not do deliverence at all, which is contrary to Jesus' teachings, as we should be following in Jesus' footsteps.
The danger is that as a Christian, if I dont understand something for myself as the Lord has not had me personally do that thing (Whatever it is) that I then say "Anyone who does that thing is not a Christian". It is so often the case that spiritually immature Christians (You can be spiritually immature and yet have been a Christian for 50 or more years so age has no bearing here) often jump to conclusions based on the experiences not complying with their own personal walk with God. For example, let's look at this in a more worldly way to understand it. Let's us look at a country with an army. They are at war. The battlefield awaits. Yet their army keeps the soldiers in boot camp, and they do all their mock training, and yet if a soldier decides to go to the battlefront, instead of supporting him or her, they try to call them back, and if they dont succeed, they decide the soldier isn't one of " Us". They must be some sort of traitor!
Sadly, this is the position of many churches. They say "Come to church or you are not a true Christian". They then start teaching them with broomhandles acting as spears, and nurfguns acting instead of bows and arrows or cannons etc, but they never take their church into spiritual battle. They will do many mock battles and have fun, but what good is a broomhandle going to do with a real enemy about? The enemy is quite satisfied with their mock battles. It does him no harm. He doesn't lose any soldiers apart from the occasional nudge from a broom handle or an occasional dart from a nurfgun. Sadly, this is where many churches are at every Sunday and their leaders are taught in ways on how to keep their privates in the church and how to raise funds to keep the boot camp running. Armed with nuclear warheads, they decide to turn to the nurfgun if they notice the enemy coming... " Dont upset the demons" is a well known saying by those who act the part but have never been to war. Their shoes are sparkling black. Their uniforms are prestine. Their helmets are as the day they were given to them. Yet, they have never picked up a rifle in battle when the enemy has even camped inside their church!

The real answer to this is to let God take the helm and listen to His battlecry! It is better to return wounded or shell shocked then not to go out into battle at all. Remember, we are in an army that is already victorious. How can we lose other then if we never went into battle with satan or his demons? Who would try to prevent a Christian from taking on demons in battle when God sounds the battlecry? Only an enemy spy would try to prevent a Christian from responding to such a battlecry!

Can a psychic become a Christian. Yes, he or she can swap sides to Gods side! But e or she has to drop affiliations with the enemy so this means he or she will no longer be a psychic, as one can't fight on both sides of the battle!

Haha, oh so true MG.

One of the childish teachings I have often seen is about putting on the whole armour of God.
Basically, they teach that if you read Ephesians 6, and go through it verse by verse and pantomime putting on the various bits of the armour, you will be protected from demons and fully able to destroy them.

I watched as one Christian lady demonstrated how she did this every morning. Carefully putting on every piece of the armour bit by bit
Imaginary armour
Imaginary belt
Imaginary breastplate
Imaginary shield
Imaginary helmet
Imaginary sword .

As she did this pantomime before me, I could see grinning and clapping demons handing her all the pieces in turn!

What sort of warrior is frightened by imaginary weapons?

Each of these symbols was meant to be something very specific.-

14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,
Satan imprisons believers with deception, but we should know the truth which always sets us free! Before they engage the enemy, believers need to be filled with truth about whatever is being contended in that battle.

with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
Any believer entering battle on the basis of his own righteousness is a total fool on the brink of defeat. We can only overcome Satan by the Blood of the Lamb, as that alone is our righteousness.

15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
The gospel of peace is what reconciles man with God. That Gospel is one of mercy and grace that completely deals with all guilt that is behind demonic bondage. The assurance of "Peace and mercy with God" is one of the strongest messages that defeats Satan's lies.

16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Presenting against Satan the finished work of Christ as a shield immediately extinguishes Satan's arrows which are just lies that he keeps shooting in hope that silly Christians receive and believe them.
17Take the helmet of salvation
If we have confidence in the saving power of Christ on the cross, that becomes a helmet which completely covers our ears. We don't even hear the accusing demonic taunts!

and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
This is the primary attack weapon in the list. By "word of God" it means knowing what God says about the battle. It may be scripture, but it might be something else that God reveals directly about what is causing the bondage.

In my infancy as a spiritual warrior, a lady came to me and a friend asking for help.
We discerned various demons which we commanded to leave, then the Lord gave me a word of knowledge. "The spirit of Mormon"

The lady got quite indignant profusely denying any involvement with Mormonism. We put that word aside and continued praying about various other things, and then suddenly she put her hand over her mouth and gasped in shock.

"I've just remembered a conversation I had with my mother when I was a child."
When she was telling her daughter some of the family history, her mother had told her that her great, great great grandfather had trekked out in 1846 with Brigham Young's so called exodus across Utah to found Salt Lake City as the Mormon promised land.

Even though she wasn't a Mormon, that ancestral demon had obviously been inhibiting her spiritual walk, and God wanted her to be free, and we immediately cast it out.
