When doing  house groups after a long days work I woud often sing  "rejoice in the Lord always ad again I say rejoiceeee"

This would make me ready for house group   :D

It was somethimg I learnt from my mentor

Aa I could not lead a a house goup saying " O bore - I am boredddd"

I had to lead with the positive attitude even though I may not have been positive - so I would sing that song again and again .

Rejoice in the Lord always and aagin I say reoiceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

It enabled me to enter the house group with the right attitude   :D

Yes, Tes,

Rejoicing banishes the negativity of the flesh, and brings us into the positivity of the Spirit of God.  We are to sing and make melody in our hearts to the Lord, and to each other, from a heart overflowing with the word of God, which we are to ensure dwells within us RICHLY.

Others receive the overflow and are blessed too.  :)

Praise God!

In Christ Jesus
Chris

@Tes Johnson

Thank you for sharing, Tes  :)

Yes it is the knowledge of God in Christ Jesus, that gives us an abundant life. To know Him is our purpose, our delight.

It is Christ who is our life, and His joy is our strength.

Praise His Holy Name!

In Christ Jesus
Chris

But you see the difference between my life problems and my inward problems  @ https://www.1faith.co.uk/?topic=10024.msg68436;topicseen#msg68436   and it is that inward change - it is not what happens to us - but how we react to it.

Easy  to say - is'nt it ?

The thing that I have been left with over all the years of turmoil is "that I know God and His Character - through scripture "

This has been the thing that has lasted and got me through.

God is not against you and remember this @sajamor

God is for you, know God and His Character.....

Okay God may "allow things to happen"  but even this is for your good...
