Frightening news

Now I already said some crazy things because I am interested in your answers.
I want to now say something very important to you.
Some scientists are now making robots who can walk talk and have a spontaneous conversation with human beings. It was aimed to develop humanity and so they can guide them and help them practically as well. Especially with elderly and infirm people
Its not good at all. Its evil disguised as good.
There is no mention of God and seeking Jesus and the truth.
It is all Christless. A maker of these robots said that he wanted these robots to have relationships with humans and have babies together.
That would be like the days of Noah and worse than the world has ever known ever.
Robots are not living souls and are programmed. If they developed as far as the scientists want to then the demonic powers will control them.
Please look up Sophia the robot who has citizenship.
Totally evil.

The answers are in Jesus not in humanity.

Correction. There are computer programmes that can sustain a conversation with a human and even convince the human that the programme is a human. But it is only as clever as the programming and the information supplied.
As for human like robots that walk, they are a long way away see :-
"rom a biophysical engineering point of view, our foot is a masterpiece. While preparing to push off, the foot and ankle bones turn in such a way that the ball of the foot becomes the fulcrum over which the ankle propels us forward. Because the fulcrum for this anatomical lever is as far as possible from the ankle?s axis of rotation, this is the best possible arrangement for gaining a powerful step. And because the human foot remains rigid and then dramatically flexes?pushing the ball of the foot and the big toe to the ground as the calf muscles contract?humans achieve a powerful push forward, a push chimpanzee feet cannot produce."
from:- https://answersingenesis.org/human-evolution/designer-feet-foundation-walking-not-up-evolutionary-ladder/

bipedal locomotion is very complex, the above deals only with efficient energy in the foot. There is also the question of balance, recognising obstacles and people as well as battery life.

Yes there will be a C3PO for sale/rent at some point.

More urgent happenings should take your attention then the what ifs of scifi.

They are able to learn via A.I.
There have been leaps in technology. I shouldn't be concerned though as all they want to do is take over the world.

Sorry MG,
computors are a form of AI, so for computors to learn from AI is nonsence.

As for taking over the world. Computors/AI follow the commands in there programming. If they are programmed to take over the world then we are looking at a global conspiracy of programmers.

er police experince and political history shows that any conspiracy involving more then three people leaks like a sieve, therefore there is no global conspiracy.

Hi all,

Just a thought - electricity, the telephone, tv and the internet, were all viewed with suspicion and horror, some claiming they were the work of the devil, and yet, here we are.  I like to think of it as progress, and something that should be embraced not condemned.

Welcome C22,
Should progress or change for the sake of change be welcomed uncriticaly?
Just what is meant by 'progress'?

Let me give one example from thje 1940's .
Durring the revival on Lewes one of the telephonists used to occupe herself on monday by writting out in full the sermon she'd heard on Sunday.

Howmany of us use our memories so that we could also do that.
Would you then call the proliveration of internet handheld devices progress or regress, if our ability to remember is being degraded?
I'm not advocating dumping computers etc.

Hi @John ,

I agree with you on the use or lack of use of memory.  I no longer ponder over what film a certain actor was in, i just google it.  Even so, I still think new discoveries and technologies are good, in the main.  There will always be those who abuse or misuse, there will always be disadvantages too, but as long as the advantages outweigh, then we should be ok.  I?m not talking about nuclear or chemical weapons or anything like that, i can?t see any advantage in that kind of thing it?s utterly abhorrent, but useful everyday things .  How i?d love a robot right now, it?s housework day lol

While it is true about artificial intelligene as the google computers for google now are able to think for themselves rather then keep to a pre defined set of programming rules which have also now been used in at least one of the human looking robots,  I was joking about the taking over the world part of what I said.
